Don Kirschner's Rock Concert. I truly miss that show! It and the original cast of Saturday Night Live and the original Dr. Who. (with horrible props) Let's not forget the commercial about "The incredible, edible egg" Television was basic, as where I lived there were only 4 television stations, one of which was PBS.

Re: Don Kirschner's Rock Concert...
Sat, December 20, 2008 - 10:08 PMWhat wasn't to like about Don Kirschner's Rock Concert and ABC's In Concert every Friday night? Or the Midnight Special? I remember seeing lots of bands on there. :) -

Sun, December 21, 2008 - 6:32 AMMidnight Special. Forgot about that show. And the "Old Grey Whistle Test" was another classic. Interesting how music can trigger a flood of memories... Speaking of which, anyone remember Al Stewart? (link below...)

Mon, January 12, 2009 - 2:11 PMAl Stewart lives about ten miles from me in San Rafael. Year of the Cat was a great album, and the title track is supposedly autobigraphical about a girl he met in (I beleive) Viet Nam

Mon, January 12, 2009 - 8:53 AMI used to watch DKRC religiously every Friday night after Kasey Casem's Americas Top 10. Got turned onto AMAZING bands by DKRC that I would have never ever been exposed to without that show.
MTV waaaaaay before the concept of MTV was even thought of...
